WE NEED THE PUBLIC'S HELP IN CATCHING AN ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT!!!
On 01/25/2016 at approximately 11:30PM the suspect in the attached artist sketch approached a female as she was entering her vehicle, which was parked on the street next to 562 Gresham Avenue SE. Suspect pointed a black pistol at the victim, ordered her to get inside the vehicle, and then entered the back seat behind the victim. Suspect told the victim to drive away at gun point. Suspect demanded money as he held the victim at gun point. When they approached the intersection of Glenwood Ave and Flat Shoals suspect became increasingly angry. Victim then called out to passing pedestrians of her situation. Suspect was scared off after victim alerted pedestrians, and ran away. Suspect is described as follows:
Black Male around 40 years old
Medium brown skin, slender approx. 5’9” tall
Wearing a Green Army “Puff” Jacket
Navy Blue skull cap
Any information on the case can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000.
