There is a burglar on the loose this morning, last seen in the Hilburn and Flat Shoals area. He is described as a black male with no shirt, a low haircut, black and red shorts and black and red shoes. Call 911 immediately if you see someone matching that description.
The crime reports have been posted for the week ending March 28th. For the second week in a row, there have been two burglaries in East Atlanta. The EASP has been receiving a number of suspicious person calls from the Clifton and Braeburn area. Please try to get those called in to 911 and the EASP at 404-954-1568 as quickly as possible in order to give both the on-duty and EASP officers the best chance possible to prevent or make arrests in some of these burglaries.
Due to the overwhelming response to our membership drive, we have extended the enrollment date for this quarter through Friday April 3rd. After Friday, you will have to wait for the next entry date on July 1st to join.
The EASP will have some new faces over the next week, as two new officers are coming on board. Two sergeants from Zone 6 will be joining the team, along with an officer returning who worked with the EASP previously. It's exciting to have some new blood and some new connections within APD. However, the EASP is sad to say goodbye to all of the departed officers, but all had schedule changes that make it impossible for them to work with us at this time. Many of you know Sergeant Mitchell, who has been working for the EASP for a long time, and he will be missed in particular after all the time he's spent as both a beat officer and EASP officer in our community.
