Anyone household or business joining the EASP by March 31st can take advantage of our 3 free months offer. Sign up for a 3,6 or 12 month membership and your membership will be extended for an additional 3 months. If you sign up for a 3 month membership, you will receive 6 months of service, sign up for a 6 month membership and you will receive 9 months of service, and a 12 month membership will receive 15 months of service. Keep in mind that memberships officially begin on the 1st day of the next quarter, which will be April 1st. However, as part of this offer we will activate memberships within a week of sign up, so you will receive additional free service through March 31st before we start the clock on your membership.
Membership in the East Atlanta Security Patrol is normally allowed four times per year - January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st. For example, if you sign up on February 25th, your membership will begin on April 1st. Please complete the new member form and click Submit before making your payment. If you are paying for a neighbor or rental property, be sure to provide us with contact information for residents of that household as well.
All membership dollars go toward funding extra police patrols by uniformed APD officers in East Atlanta. The goal is to discourage crime from occurring in our neighborhood rather than trying to catch criminals after crimes are committed. Patrol time is largely allocated based on where members are located, so more members in your area mean a larger share of patrol time. Patrols are also allocated based on current and historical crime patterns.
Home members of the EASP may request extra patrols while away from home for work or on vacation. By submitting a simple form, members receive extra patrols at their homes from both the EASP officers and APD officers.

The cost of home or business membership is $50 for three months, $100 for six months and $200 for one year, plus a one-time fee of $15 for new members.
Residents age 65 and older or anyone living at the same address for at least 20 years qualify for half price rates.
If you are asked to provide a phone number when setting up the EASP as a payee in your bank's bill payment service, use 404-954-1568. If you are asked to provide an account number, use 1234. If an address is required, please use the P.O. Box listed above. Many banks, including SunTrust and Bank of America, will complete the payment in one business day. Other banks may take as long as five days to complete the payment if they mail a check rather than submit the payment electronically.

- Call, text or e-mail anytime with immediate or ongoing public safety concerns
- Officers will check member locations at least twice during each four hour shift
- Patrol frequency for a given area is based on the number of members in that area
- Business members will have officers patrolling their business on foot during each four hour shift
- EASP and APD officers will pay extra attention to homes that submit an out of town form
- All homes will receive an East Atlanta Security Patrol yard sign
