The EASP Mission
The East Atlanta Security Patrol (“EASP”) is an effort to enhance public safety in East Atlanta. We employ off-duty Zone Six police officers to perform additional patrols within Beat 612, which is the police designation for the East Atlanta community. The amount of time that the officers patrol is determined by the level of financial support from the community. More memberships mean more patrol hours, so we encourage you, your neighbors and local businesses to support the EASP. If you are a victim of a crime or see a crime in progress, you should call 911 first and then call the EASP at 404-954-1568.
The EASP also functions as an advocate for the community. We recommend that you contact us with concerns about drug sales, slow police response times, indifferent behavior by officers, lighting problems and any other public safety issue that adversely impacts your quality of life. You do not have to be a member of the EASP to contact us for assistance
To become a member, you must reside within the City of Atlanta and have a business or home within the East Atlanta community.
